Made it to Alberta!

After 1300km, we made it across BC! We've cycled through Kootenay, Banff and Jasper National Parks (including the big climb up the Icefields Parkway!). That puts us up to around 1500km so far.

We're in Jasper for two nights. Nice to have another rest day. It'll be our last one until Dan & I get to Edmonton. I've got some great pictures, but don't have the camera with me right now. I'll try to add some later on. Until then, check out my brother's blog - he's been putting up pictures and notes for each day: http://2008canadacycletrip.blogspot.com/.

Hurray you made it through the Rockies, just like the pioneers (only the opposite direction). Look forward to hearing about you trip and seeing all the pics.
Donna, Tom and I ran - mostly walked up Royal Oak.
Definitely not the rockies, but the best we could do.
Continue safely and happily and enjoy the first day of summer.........

Wow! You made it! I didn't know you were going through Crnabrook - I would have given you my brother's phone number - he's a biking and camping kinda guy. My parents also are there. You could have had showers!

I'm so impressed. So many hills, and rain and flats and you still make it sound like you're having a blast! Is the new wheel holding up? (And glad to hear Joe is doing OK - he needs a rain poncho)

Besides Trish getting that amazing time, Ted Steele came in at 1h 59mins and some change. I had to scratch - my back is still screwed up from getting in a car accident on June 2. SO frustrating, because I'd started to run well, and the weather yesterday was perfect for a half.

I'm setting my sights on next year.

We had six people at spinning tonight!
