More rain...

Just a quick note while I still have computer access... Woke up to more rain. Ick!! I'm heading into Nelson today to get a new wheel!! Hope they are able to help me out. I really like Nelson and am looking forward to hanging out there for a bit before heading to Balfour and catching the ferry to Kootney Bay & Crawford. I like the ride from Nelson to Balfour, but I might not like it so much today...

I hope the weather gets better. My sister has been kyaking on the WET coast all week. Its hideous here, but at least I don't have to ride a bike to work. Although I had to pay $51 to fill up my gas tank and I have one of the most economical cars in North America. Yikes.

I can't believe you are already in Nelson and good for you for going luxury at least one night.

Continue safely. We miss you......

Hi guys! We are finally having good weather and it is supposed to continue so we will send it your way!!! I really thought as your travelled east you would dry out! Bike troubles are a pain but what a bonus to have the "king of spokes" there with you! I didn't realize you were going through the Kootenays and now that you have do you love it!! Much more laid back than the coast but I'm guessing land isn't as cheap as it used to be given that Albertans are close to it!?? (Next move??) Take care and hope your bike is fixed and the rest of the trip is better weather wise and no breakdowns!! I was over at Donna's last night and Kayla is home early and I think looking fwd to looking after Betty. Keep safe and hi to Dan. Deb

Never mind - you would have got just as wet here! We even had a pretty serious windstorm earlier this week. An umbrella I have stuck in a heavy stand AND through a hole (for this purpose) in the table blew out of the stand, our of the hole and across the deck. Fortunately I heard the crash and rescued it before it sailed off for an unescorted tour of Burnaby! (I got pretty wet trying to wrestle it shut, too!)

Maybe it will get nicer this weekend - that's what the forecast says. Not holding my breath, though.

Isn't Nelson pretty?
